Winter Park Mountain Lodge

Unfortunately we booked this hotel with the hopes of enjoying the hot tub and pool for the evening. The website clearly stated “ pools and Hot tubs are working”! Upon arrival we were told it’s closed for maintenance. Of course no possible refund is available. We even checked about possible compensation for false advertising and how bummed our 6 year old was that the evening now consist of sitting in the hotel. The only offer was to drive in heavy snow to the rec center and spend another 60 dollars. The rooms are pretty grungy. I would call to make sure things are working because their site is not accurate.

The most ridiculous hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It was so bad it was funny. The breakfast was a legit comedy sketch. Pool was closed. Nobody answers the phone. Random bra hanging in the closet. Credit card reader not working.

Don't bother booking. As mentioned in prior reviews, this place has so much potential but falls flat due to disrepair and lack of management. This is most evident in the hot tub situation. The two tubs are disgusting, surrounded by a broken down wood structure, and full of grime and are lukewarm at best. We asked the front desk who told us they were just "warming up" but after reading other reviews it's clear they haven't been warm in weeks. Probably for the best because we spotted not one but three bandaids in/around the hot tubs, clearly no one has cleaned them in weeks. The rooms are adequate but also in disrepair. Our lamp shades were broken and the light above the sink had a paper covering because the original glass/plastic had clearly broken years ago. Also the restaurant was closed during our stay and the "complimentary breakfast" was a staff member selling low quality snacks for $5 a piece. In short, while it's cheap, there are much better places with working amenities and breakfast for similar cost. Will not be coming back.

Lets give the good 1st, the view is amazing. We booked a suite with a view and that's what we got! However, it had no working TV, phone, and the fireplace would stay on for about 5 minutes. One of the windows broken. No towels, wash clothes or hand towels. It had a tiny coffee pot with no coffee or cups. No blankets and the bed had very thin linens. We had to walk to the front desk (no working phone) multiple times requesting basic items. The whole hotel is dated and the room was beyond dated. At $350 a night basic items should not have to be requested multiple times.

We had no towels when we arrived had to ask multiple times to get them. We also ran out of toilet paper and it took half a day to get any. The location is great. Room is okay. Service is what is truly lacking. Not bad for the price. Towels and toilet paper are important though.
