Toronto don valley hotel & suites customer reviews

This is a cool place to take the load off and relax a bit. It has a beautiful pool which I liked. The colours in the hotel I detest. The floor rug design and color makes it appear dirty and uneven. The overall appearance of the hotel is not inviting. Yeah, I think it would be worth the money to change that. Thank you

Great location, spacious rooms and free parking. However, huge miss, no smart tv’s to stream or connect services. This is a big one!!!! Also, beds should be updated to pedestal frames and Microwaves in room would also be nice.

I wish that I could give this hotel zero stars because that’s what they truly deserve. I spent the weekend there for a convention and it is infested with BEDBUGS! There was quite a few different people that either seen them firsthand or as myself have bites on me. I was on the first floor of the hotel. After a weekend away, I had to go home and throw everything into the dryer and a lot of my items are still in my deep freezer. Also seems like they know they have a problem because they nicely gave one of my friends a piece of paper on how to deal with bedbugs. Spending close to $500 to stay there for two nights and now having to stress out because I just hope that I did enough that I didn’t bring these into my home. My girlfriend that I went with now has to get her car completely detailed as she found a couple in there which clearly was in our stuff when we left the hotel. I really wish that I would’ve looked at the reviews prior to booking here because I never ever would’ve stayed at this hotel. If you were planning on staying here, I would reconsider and if you’ve already booked, I’d be trying to get a refund. I’ve never wrote a review ever through Google, but I just don’t want anyone else going through what I’ve had to go through. My friend call the hotel and they basically said we’ll have to send someone in there to investigate but looking at this picture this is caused by BEDBUGS!!!

This hotel is very dated. My king room had stains on the carpet, ripped wallpaper, and a very old school heater/AC that smelled really bad when it was operating. Bed was not comfortable at all. I forgot my body wash so I had to resort to using the hotel provided one in the shower, and of course it was empty. The in-room coffee was one of the grossest I have ever tasted. On top of that, there was no power to one of the nightstands so clock and lamp did not work. Additionally, they advertise the bar/bistro to be open until 10pm, but when I went down to get a cocktail at 4:30pm, they were closed.would not opt to stay here again.

The three things in a hotel I look for is hot water, a comfortable bed and somewhat quiet. When I came here on Sunday night, I was very excited to start my five days of training in this beautiful city, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was upgraded from a traditional to deluxe king at no extra charge. I was given room 424 and thought the room was absolutely perfect. When I went to go and have a shower I let the water run for more than five minutes and it was warm, I called the front desk and after some back-and-forth, they agreed to put me in room 433. I spent the night in that one and was very happy that it had hot water, but the problem was is it was extremely noisy and visually impaired there was very poor lighting. When I told this to the front office the very next day the lady had told me that she found it very odd that only that room would have warm water, but not hot and no one else was complaining. But she said she would get someone to look at it, when I got to the hotel later on that day and I asked the front desk agent he had told me that all even numbered rooms were having hot water issues. So this begins the first inconsistency. Then after being in that room, they changed me to room 410. This was an OK room as well, but this was uneven numbered room. It did not have hot water. Then they transferred me over to room 402. This room is nice and large and I later found out that it is half of a suite, then on Monday night when I was transferred to room 402 I was very sad to see that the heater was not working, they ended up getting a maintenance person to come up and take a look, they were unable to fix it, and therefore they told me that there was an extra unit in the garage, but they would have to wait until Tuesday during the day to swap it out and then they gave me a portable heater. Tuesday came around, and unfortunately they had not fixed the heater, they sent up another maintenance person who ended up opening up the Suite half to get another heater and run the extension cable from the other half of the suite to my bedroom to the fact that when he plugged in both space heaters, he blew a fuse and the power went out. I had asked him at the time why he couldn’t just leave the door open because there was an actual heater that worked well and that half and with the heater working in that half blowing heat into my room that would’ve been a perfect situation with what we had available. Unfortunately he agreed, but said that management wouldn’t allow that. So when I contacted the front desk this morning, I spoke with Kevin who was quite rude, but then told me that he was getting his best guy on it and he will have it hopefully fixed today, when I asked him about the other two maintenance individuals that were coming in here he just replied, saying that like yourself we have maintenance people that specialize in certain things and therefore the other two were not as good as this individual he was going to send. There was not a lot of customer service in his actions or in his approach, he did however, like he promised me which is the only person that has contacted me since I’ve stayed here, let me know that the heat was finally working in my room and that he was generously going to credit me one night plus taxes for all the trouble I’ve had, when I had asked him if he could do better, he told me no, and I told him that the review would reflect that, his response to me was that he expected me to write a review and that he was going to reply to it. not really sure why there was so much hostility as there was none from my end just tiredness and slight annoyance, having four room changes horrible sleep being woken up at 6:20 AM Wednesday morning due to a fire alarm. I think I am handling the situation with the amount of issues that we’ve been having. They keep telling me that there is no suite available even though I am staying in a half of one. I am here until Friday and will update as needed.

The hotel is VERY expensive for the quality you receive. On booking websites, it is advertised as free breakfast but unfortunately that is not the case....
