The Haunted Book Shop

Love bookstores. Cute shop. Friendly and knowstaff staff. An abundance of genres and titles. Every bookstore has a resident cat. Right? Like every cat, he'll come to you when he wants. Wish they had used books. Or maybe I just didn't find them. Cute kid area with a tent. Adult reading area with a rocker. Closes too early for a tourist area. Aisles are narrow and not made for two people nor wheelchair.

This is easily THE most aesthetic bookstore I've ever stepped foot in - I passed through while on a road trip and stopped here to stretch my legs, and I'm SO glad I did! The employees were very friendly and informative, one looked up a book for me, another showed me some recommendations for local mysteries. There's an adorable cat that LOVES pets, too! There is a sign on the door regarding dogs, please let them know if you need to bring a service animal inside so they have time to put the furry friend away. I snagged a few fun options, older used books in really good condition. Next time I'm headed through town I will for sure be back!

Definitely a quaint and charming little book shop in the heart of downtown Mobile with lots of lovely books in all genres not just spooky, haunted, ghost fiction. Lots of culinary and children's books to choose from as well. Check them out when downtown.

This is an awesome bookstore with knowledgeable staff. I can find any book I can think of. There is a good mix of children's books of all ages from board books to chapter books. I highly recommend this bookstore.

Great shop in downtown Mobile. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love going by when I get the chance. Ordered about 6 books from them by an obscure author, and books came in much sooner than expected.
