The arts hotel customer reviews

Super affordable, funky, "minimalist" hotel in a great location. Rooms are small, but the bed & pillows are very comfortable & a nice rain shower. Also a lovely mural above the bed. Handy to have Dali Cafe on the main floor. Food is excellent. No TV, fridge or coffeemaker in rooms - they are all in a lounge. Overall, a great experience.

This was not a problem for me but I was surprised that I could hear the music from downstairs through the night in my room. Otherwise, the location is excellent in the tourist/nightlife hub of Charlottetown, and the rooms and service fantastic. It's just a bit pricey for a minimalist hotel to not include food (in-house restaurant instead) or coffee (paid machine in the lounge). I am perfectly okay with these aspects missing, but it cost more than I'd have expected.

I stayed at the hotel while visiting PEI for a conference. Rooms extremely small. A bed and bathroom stall. The hotel’s locations is only a 4 mins walk to the Confederation Centre where the conference is held. But, I would never stay here again. Music from neighbourhood bar was extremely loud! The first night I barely slept due the loud band music and a blue light attached to the light switch that wouldn’t turn off. Even as I write now, at 7:54pm the sound of loud drumming fills the air. It’s horrible! After speaking with staff in the morning she immediately fixed the light so at least I do not have to worry about that tonight. Staff is great and responsive and are the best asset of the hotel. But it’s still not worth it. If you could hear the noise beating through the walls right now, you’d skip booking here. There isn’t a tv, lamp, mini fridge or any amenities in the room and no housekeeping unless staying more than 2 days. This hotel room was booked for me and it’s probably cheap, but in my opinion, it may be better to spend more money and enjoy a more comfortable stay elsewhere. Also the wifi in the lounge is very weak and goes out often.

While the hotel itself offers basic accommodations that are European style - simple and adequate, it’s location next to a music hall that regularly holds concerts until 2am is the issue. With zero soundproofing, especially the walls next to the music hall, you’ll be lucky if you get any sleep at all. This major downside is not listed in the FAQ on the website and you only find out about it in the fine print in your confirmation email. I’ve got an early flight out and it’s creeping up on 1am on a Sunday and the bass next door is still pounding. Save your sanity and stay elsewhere, even if it costs you more, budget room pricing is not worth the sleep disruption you will experience here.

this hotel is as i expected, and even more, yes there is no tv or fridge in your room as it says in the description when you book it (which some people need to read from what i see, reading these reviews!!) There are 2 large flatscreen tvs, boardgames, kitchen, air fryer, microwave, toaster vending machine in the guest lounge which i enjoyed a lot and spent alot of time there, the hotel's location is perfect and the beds are so comfortable. You get full control of the ac/heating in your room which i appreciated as some hotels lock these settings. The staff were very friendly and helpful to any issues, much appreciated :)) Hope this reviews help some people
