We live on the St Paul side and rarely go to Minneapolis downtown. I think that will change after today. I have been meaning to visit Surly's world class facility but never prioritized it until today when we were already close by for a soccer camp. I was blown away by the efficiency in their operation, first class service and atmosphere, outstanding beers of course, tasty food, and family atmosphere. This should be a six star review and I'll be recommending a visit to Surly from now on for out of town visitors. Also I was pleasantly surprised by the large parking lot and easy walk through the beautiful entrance and grounds. What a classy affair even though i was a bit worried about the urban setting. The tap room only beer selections were a delight and we loved our food. It came out fast and was fresh and tasty. We sat at the bar by the way. I saw many families there with small kids and the open air environment on a beautiful summer July day is something you must experience. Even the restrooms are large and clean! I can't wait to return soon.

This is definitely the best place to gather with friends and enjoy a couple of beers accompanied by great snacks. We love the brisket queso and their fries, which are always cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is fantastic, both inside and outside, offering a cozy and inviting space that makes you feel right at home. Whether you choose to sit indoors with the lively crowd or enjoy the fresh air outside, the ambiance is always spot on. The service is excellent; the staff are very welcoming and friendly, always ensuring that you have everything you need. They go out of their way to make sure your experience is top-notch. The beer selection is impressive, with a variety of options to suit every taste, and the snacks are delicious and well-prepared, making it a perfect spot for casual hangouts.

We loved Surly Brewing! We were in town for a family vacation and a friend recommended Surly. It was perfect. We dined upstairs and had their pizza. We split two pizzas between three of us. Their upstairs outdoor dining is very nice and there was live music. Their beer was so tasty! Everything was so clean and inviting. We picked up a couple crowlers to bring home with us. We wish we could go back! If you’re in town you must go to Surly Brewing. We loved the Pizza Party and Oktoberfest beers.

This place is for all ages. There’s something for everybody to get into. Parents can gather and grab a beverage and the kids can play bags and or enjoy the huge grass area. Even in bad weather, you can sit inside and enjoy the weather from the open space. You can grab merch, pizza, and anything else from this establishment. Parking can be a bit of a hassle. If you don’t mind walking, there’s parking in walking distance. It’s not ideal but keeps you from the traffic jam the parking lot can become. Staff were friendly and helpful. What a great spot for many different types of dining and drinking. Outside there are tables, fire pits, or bring a blanket and relax on the lawn. Inside is spacious with comfortable seating. The small deck outside the pizza restaurant upstairs is fun for people watching. The beers are all amazing and the food delicious. We had the Curry Cauliflower, Bibb and Burrata salad, Polish sausage and Hot Link sausage. Yummy 😋

This is a cool space. It's a restaurant so it's family friendly and there's a ton of variety in seating options. They do take Reservations but not when...

As out-of-towners, we asked a few people where we needed to eat, and the choice was clear: Surly! After going, I totally get it. The vibe is everything!...

Our experience at Surly Brewing Festival Field was great. They are well organized. I wish there would be more seating, as we are unable to stand through a 3 hour concert. And blankets and chairs are not allowed. However, purchasing ADA tickets was an option for us. The staff helped us find where our seats were. At the time that I'm writing this, you can take SEALED water bottles into the grounds, however if it wasn't sealed it has to be empty. I wish we would have known we could take sealed water bottles in, because their water at the water station tastes like tires. It was so strong, I was concerned about what I was drinking. But it was also so hot out that we needed to hydrate...with something other than beer. There were ample beer stations and food trucks. They could use more picnic tables. There was a sea of portapotties. But I was impressed with how clean they were and that they had hand washing stations outside of them. The ADA seats were pretty nice, with an elevated platform, but since we were near the back, we had crowds of people right next to us that were talking all throughout the concert. Who goes to a concert to talk?! We didn't need earplugs, but if we were closer to the stage, we may have needed them. I would take in another concert at this venue, but I would do it when it's a bit cooler out.

We were here last night to watch a concert at the Surly Brewing Festival Field. While the show was good, the organization of the event was frustrating. Long lines at the food trucks taking 20-30 minutes to get food and an equally long line to buy beer tickets that are required to stand in another line to get your drinks. If this needs to be the set up, more stands needs to be set up selling drink tickets and I would highly recommend getting food elsewhere before arriving at the event

Saw our first show at Surly Festival Field. It was a beautiful summer night and great show but they need to make changes to their ticket/beer set up. Have to wait in really long lines (and wait up to 20 minutes) to get tickets in order to get a beer or food. We missed the first song and a half waiting in line. Not sure of the benefits of this system. seems simple enough to let people buy beer or food with cash/card. If you have to do this complicated system for reasons I don’t understand, maybe make tickets available online prior to the event. Heard lots of people complaining about this silly system.

Nice brewery, great selection of beers, friendly staff and overall nice atmosphere, it’s reasonably priced and I bet the food is good too.

This came highly recommended by a native of Minneapolis. One of the best breweries I ever been to. Food was good, beers were excellent and the service was great. I'll be back!
