South Lawn Hotel

We had an amazing two night stay in November and cannot recommend this place high enough. Rooms were large, spacious and very clean and comfortable. Food was so good - we had a steak dinner one night and a roast the next day. The staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Would definitely go back!

Ideal spot for a dog-friendly break. We had a lovely three night stay at the South Lawn Hotel with our dog. Large room with plenty of space, excellent breakfast and dinners, friendly and helpful staff, and a great location to head down to the coast or into the forest. There was a nice welcome pack for the dog, and an enclosed paddock for exercise.

Along with 36 colleagues we had a wonderful Christmas lunch here yesterday. The service was excellent, but most importantly the food was outstanding, full of flavour, beautifully presented and very enjoyable . The staff were both very efficient whilst being friendly and very professional . I couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend. Thank you for an excellent Christmas gathering👍😊

It's an absolutely perfect place to stay for quiet and relaxing time... lots to do in the surrounding area... Breakfast was OK.. service was great.. although there was no offer for more tea or coffee to us.. but heard that offer to other tables.. made us feel it was time to leave and a little unwelcome.. Continental breakfast wasn't great.. no real choice.. to be honest, being told if I wanted ham and cheese, just ask.. (was kind) but isn't acceptable.. so yes, I was a little disappointed ... maybe it was because there were only 4 tables set in the corner on that day.. if continental breakfast is on the menu, it should be there with a true choice . Cooked breakfast was good.. full English and vegetarian on offer. I had both on different days.. and enjoyed ... Great coffee.. although part of this review seems negative.. I don't mean it to be, hence the 5 stars... it was just unfortunate on our last day we felt that way... The stay as a whole we couldn't ask for better.. especially as poor health can make a hotel stay difficult ... this was perfect for our circumstances... car parking ideal for people with limited mobility... We will return simply because it was so comfortable and perfect for our needs.. thank you for a lovely, well needed break.

The staff have been excellent, very welcoming and friendly and efficient. Arrived for a 2 day break - found a very comfortable lounge area(s) to down our bottle of wines! Two meals, both very good. Ambiance very good. Situated between Lymington and Milford, good environment and good parking. BUT...room jaded, no view as 6 foot from extension, and antiquated. Disconcerted by large number of dogs welcomed into hotel - no problem with dogs, but what about cleanliness of rooms? Enjoyed break away bit reservations, won't hurry back.
