It’s all true - purchase and ship all items at your own risk: there is no customer service assistance, they are either rubbish at stock-taking or out to scam you into thinking something is available when it is not - before you know it, you end up having to pay an exorbitant shipping fee for the cheapest item you had in your checkout cart because every other bulky or expensive item that would’ve made that delivery fee worth the while will suddenly be out of stock, but they don’t have the decency to contact you before sending the rest of your items out so you get a very nasty surprise - great shopping experience eh?

We had been shopping for a few hours and noticed the coffee shop in the corner of a floor in and decided to rest and have a nice cup of coffee. As we approached the coffee corner, we wanted to sit at one of the empty tables by the window. And we were asked if we were going to eat anything but at 15:00 it was too early and replied we would like just a coffee and rest a little. We were thren told abruptly that we can only sit at the bar. Although the complete seating area was totally empty, about 40 seats.we nearly turned around and left but decided we needed a coffee. Which we ordered. When the bill came we expected to pay £4 each (£8 total) for the 2 coffees but noticed a £1 charity donation was automatically included on the bill. When I asked why the staff member told me it was the stores local charity. I replied that as I was not asked first if I would like to support this charity. I thought it was unacceptable not yo have been asked. The staff member said her would remove it and bring me a new bill. When that arrived, it was still £9 the staff member added a £1 service charge. Talk about despicable was beyond belief. Never will I venture back.

Online process is broken. They don't understand their own system. I spent an hour on the phone trying to order a Christmas hamper with a nominated day delivery but the system simply doesn't work. They don't call you back either. Shocking service from Selfridges.

I had the worst experience. they locked my account after I have registered with Selfridges plus and it felt like they did it on purpose after I have been ordering regularly. i sent them lots of emails and messages and got no solution to my problem. NEVER USE THEIR ONLINE OR MOBILE APPLICATION. you guys are the worst you don't even reply correctly to emails and all your responses have no solutions

Treated a friend to afternoon tea. This was my first time there (first time in London as well) The atmosphere is frantic because it is SO loud. This is not the tea experience where a harpist strums in the corner. And considering the metro-at-rush-hour atmosphere, it is expensive at £56/ea. Everything tasted good, but when it came to the dessert course, it turns out the waiter was completely guessing as to what the flavors were. He was totally winging-it with total confidence ! Cannot recommend.
