Salty Rose's & the Periwinkle Cafe

We stopped in for lunch on our way around the Cabot trail. This is a really great stop. The food was fresh and good. This was my favorite little shop! They had so many cute and trendy decor and gift items. I bought some stained glass items. When I got back to the states I realized I was missing a cord to hang them. I called the store and they happily sent me the missing cord. Great service!

We experienced just the cafe side (because we had already booked accommodations elsewhere, not realizing Salty Rose's was more than a cafe). Really nice, cozy (cozy modern), very delicious food and great beverages. Great place to eat breakfast and pick up lunch to go before doing the Skyline Trail. Will definitely be back the next time we do the Cabot Trail! Thank you!

We did not stay here. We only ate. Limited menu but breakfast sandwiches and granola were very good - fresh ingredients, great taste. It was elevated food. We also ordered sandwiches to go to eat on the trail. We had the smoked meat sandwiches. Delicious. The whole place has a welcoming atmosphere. I have it a 4 out of 5 for service only because it’s slower than I would like but honestly I’ve got no complaints. The people who work there were super friendly and warm.

We were staying in the area (somewhere else) for a couple nights and stopped here twice for lunch and enjoyed it both times. We sat inside where there was seating for about 20 people and didn’t have to wait long for our orders to come out. Over the two days we got their veggie sandwich, smoked meat on rye, turkey deli sandwich, and orange almond granola. We also got decaf oat milk latte, flat white, and lemonade. All of the food and drinks were excellent and very enjoyable. The staff are friendly and the place is quaint and clean. Definitely recommend!

We stopped at this coffee shop cafe on our cape Breton drive. The lattes and cinnamon rolls were both outstanding. Fabulous deck to sit and sip and relax. Plus a few table inside if the weather isn't beckoning you outdoors. Highly recommend!
