Amazing experience -- I was admittedly a bit nervous about staying at a hostel since I had never stayed at one before, but I would 100% stay here again if travelling solo or with friends. Even if I were travelling with a partner, I would consider booking one of the single occupancy rooms here, as the stay was really fantastic as well as wallet-friendly. I lucked out and had the 4-bed room to myself for 2 of the 3 nights I was there, but even when other travellers joined me, it was a great stay and still quite easy to get some privacy. Elsewhere in the building, there are tons of communal spaces where people would hang out (or you could find a quiet corner to yourself). I stayed here a month ago for a short period. The place is nice and location is convenient, just what you can expect from a hostel. But the best part is the fabulous and friendly service here! Something went wrong with my booking (double booking, cancellation went wrong) and I wasn't able to sort it out with the night guard. The next morning the friendly lady helped me very well but had to check with the manager, she didn't want me to wait for it and would make sure that it was sorted upon my return after a wonderful day of exploring Quebec city. When I came back in the afternoon there was an envelope waiting for me with cash money for what I overpaid, as they weren't able to reimburse my card. I really appreciate their flexibility with this regard, sorting it out without making me waste my time! As it was my first day in Canada, a lovely welcome to Quebec and Canada! Will definitely recommend this hostel for their service and friendliness!

Located in a beautiful area, the street where the hostel is situated is lined with numerous restaurants. During my stay, it was conveniently close to the festival grounds. The hostel features a bar, seemingly operated independently. However, during weekends, the rooms above the bar can be quite noisy, making it difficult to sleep. Access to the kitchen is through the basement when the bar is open. The rooms are very spacious and clean, with equally tidy toilets and showers, albeit the showers are quite small. Bed sheets and towels are available at the reception. All rooms are equipped with AC. They provide a laundry room with a fee of 2 CAD for washing and another 2 CAD for drying. The kitchen, hangout area, and lazy forest were particularly impressive. Additionally, there is a space in the basement available for studying or meetings. On the third floor, there are computers with internet access for guests to use. The staff is friendly and polite. Unlike many other hostels in Canada, they do not organize any activities. Despite this, I would recommend staying at this hostel when exploring Quebec City.

Positives: Cleanliness, location, and the cool historic building where the hostel is located! Negatives: An off-putting sweaty odor when I entered my room, a very low ceiling at the upper bunk compared to the lower bunk, and noise/loud music as the hostel bar turns into a nightclub at night! Headline: Definitely recommend a short stay but as long as you’re aware of what you’re signing up for!

First hostel experience in ~10 years. There was a touch of nervousness. It was great! Beautiful building, right in the heart of the festival, very clean and well run, bed was nice and the coffin (the sleeping space) is well designed. Would definitely recommend
