Placewares customer reviews

Smashing IT! Name it and they have it! What a convenient one stop shop place for all of your kitchen needs! They have such a large selection of EVERYTHING you could think of to make life that much more easier in the kitchen etc. i specially like how they have regular sized items and then mini sized items as well. Great place if you're a baker as well! Amazing and friendly customer service. Tucked away in the heart of historical St. Lawrence Market on the first level. Check them out, even if you think you don't need anything I am positively sure you'll find a few cute and worthy kitchen gadgets to add to your household!

I spend at least an hour here whenever I go DT and love to check what’s new that I don’t need but want.. looool. Of course I bought more stuff, it’s my Toy’s r Us… so nice to go back.

Unique selection of cookie cutters. They sell them individually or in packages. No mix and match. They also provide tons of unique kitchen items. You will find a 9-egg holder or a Japanese paper boat for takoyaki. Must see and wanders in the aisles. If you are looking for Canadian cutting boards, they have it here. Enjoy!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Toronto, the traditional market is a vibrant hub of culture and community. As you step inside, you're greeted by a lively mosaic of sights, sounds, and scents. Stalls brimming with fresh produce, fragrant spices, and artisanal goods line the aisles, each manned by friendly vendors eager to share their stories and specialties. The air is filled with the enticing aroma of freshly baked bread and sizzling street food, mingling with the rich, earthy scent of handmade crafts and textiles. The chatter of shoppers and the calls of merchants create a lively, welcoming atmosphere. This market isn't just a place to shop; it's a gathering spot where the old-world charm meets the modern city's energy, offering a unique and enriching experience for all who visit.

There are so many kitchen things here, including a large selection of things I normally spent hours searching for in Amazon. The best little kitchen gadget store in the area!

If you're a fan of great design (particularly mid-century modern), this stop is a must-visit. They have a comprehensive collection of Marimekko fabrics, apparel and dishware, and a beautiful selection of Ittala glassware. The owners also collect fantastic vintage pieces on their travels, so you can find the occasional one-of-a-kind item here as well. In addition to beautiful things for the home or body, they carry a nice selection of cool kitchen items and foods (jams, chocolate, etc.. Definitely worth a stop!

We stop here every time we are in Gualala. They had a great combination of house wares, gifts, foodie stuff and more with an art gallery that included work by one of the owners, art books and other artsy things. The store sold a year and half a go we were told and it maintains some of its charm. But the art room was not what it used to be and that was disappointing for us as we came up hoping to buy one of the former owners pieces. Its still worth a stop as the collection is very tasteful and unusual for the area.

Total hidden gem of a store just up the highway from the market, so glad we stopped in. Amazing collection of housewares, fun things for kids, food and artwork in their gallery. If you’re at all into design, need a cool gift, are stocking up your home or just want to see beautiful things, it’s worth a visit if you’re staying in the area or passing through on the 1.
