Had stayed in this hotel almost every month for the past two years. A bit old but the service is excellent. The workers are so nice and kind. I chose this hotel just because of its workers and for being centrally located. You can walk out at any time in the night. Has access from any part of Lagos by public transport. Water flow in the shower is low. Breakfast used to be free but just recently is paid service.

Stayed here just one night with a work colleague. Staff were friendly, but a bit slow at reception. Room is standard and bed is standard, but bathroom is really lacking. Just a leaky hand-held shower with little water pressure, and the temperature alternated from cold to scalding. No water in the sink. Had to laugh when I finally jumped into bed and my feet were on the mattress. I pulled the covers back to see that my double bed had been made with two single sheets laid sideways, and the mattress at the bottom wasn't covered. Yuck! I asked my colleague the next day and he said the same thing - that his double bed was made with two single sheets laid sideways. Food is slow but adequate. You get what you pay for here, and I am just glad that I wasn't paying Protea prices like I did last time. Area is central and when I went jogging in the morning I felt safe enough. Kids park opposite, corner stores on same street, and a Church that plays jamming music at 7am nearby where I was made to feel most welcome.

i have been to several hotels in Lagos but what makes me like elomaz hotel is that they know how to serve there customer in time without any delays and things weren't overpriced as they generally are, from hotel rooms to foods to car-hire, Bear in mind that you can't compare Nigerian hotels with Western ones. Elomaz is situated in a safe area. the suite wasn't spotlessly clean but was ok. What I appreciated most was the fact that they treat there staffs with care in most hotel hav been u can hardly make use of the staff toilet

African foods are well prepared and tasty, and staff are nice

My hosts in Lagos had booked me in here. On arrival the place looked ok from the outside but that's the best you will see about the place. Almost everything from there was just BAD. a) The first room to which they took me was a room on which someone else had slept in the bed and the sheets had not been changed. I rejected that room and was taken to another room b) There is no concept of smoking vs non-smoking rooms. The corridors, lift and rooms smelt foul! So bad I couldn't sleep the whole night and had to checkout the very next morning. c) In the morning, I went to order breakfast. They promised it would take 30 - 35 minutes but despite being the only one in the restaurant that morning, I was still waiting for food almost 1hr 15 minutes later. I just left and checked out. d) The bathroom in attached to my room was also bad, piping for the shower hand was leaky. All in all, avoid this place like the plague. And to Denmattalli who said it is ok by Nigerian standards ... you are so wrong. I both lived in Nigeria and travel there frequently for work. Outside the big hotel chains, there are many local nigerian places at same price level and Elomaz doesn't even meet up to these. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE
