I want to share a bad experience I had with Optimum7. About 16 months after my website migration was completed, I received an unexpected email from them, stating that I would now be required to pay for their hosting services. This came as a complete surprise to me since I did not know that any coding on my website would be permanently connected to their servers. I asked Duran Inci, the CEO, why I was never made aware of this, and he pointed out Clause 9 of the "Terms & Conditions" section of the contract I had signed, which stated that "Optimum7 may use their web services hosted on another server to enable certain integrations and functionality for the client." However, during the entire project, Optimum7 never specified that there were functions that would require their server or that such connections would need to be maintained permanently. This lack of disclosure is unacceptable. I hired a new developer to review my site and remove Optimum7's code. We discovered that Optimum7 had utilized their code to create functions that were already native to the Big Commerce platform, such as pop-up links & a custom cart that had no customizations. None of these functions required a connection to Optimum7's server to continue working effectively. Duran Inci attempted to bribe me by offering me a $3000 "refund" in exchange for removing my 1-star review. This tactic may explain why several 1-star reviews have seemingly disappeared. Such behavior is unprofessional and raises concerns about the company's ethics. Snippets from my previous review are below. I would not recommend using Optimum7's services. My experience working with Duran & his team was frustrating, unprofessional, inconsistent, & detrimental to business. There was no quality control. Tasks had to be redone multiple times until they were done correctly. They were 8 weeks late on delivery. This job was entirely documented in an online portal & email, everything was in writing. When I brought some challenges I was having with lack of progress from the team & issues with the work being done to Duran, the CEO of Optimum7 he would reply with an "I 100% disagree with that statement". Meanwhile, the statement was in writing and taken directly from what his team entered in the portal. One of them was even an exact quote from an email that he sent me that he still denied. I don't know if the issue is ignorance, incompetence, or just a case of it being easier to continue to deny than take responsibility & take action to correct the issue. If they tell you they are experts in Klaviyo ask them if the person they will assign to your job has ever worked on the platform. The person assigned to my job did not know there was a desktop version & a mobile version of an email that requires editing. I have all the versions of the emails they created and Duran still denied it was their fault. In preparing to post this review I was reading some of Optimum7's recent reviews & noticed that there were several one-star reviews that I read a few months ago that seemed to have a similar experience as I had that are now suddenly missing. When I inquired with BigCommerce's VP of Partnerships why this would be, their response was "there's a legal dispute happening between the merchant and Optimum7". I asked if that was the case for all 3 reviews and that question did not receive a reply. If you are reading this review & contemplating hiring Optimum7 & are excited that they have all 5-star reviews you should consider why three 1-star reviews were removed from this platform. _____ in response to Duran's Reply - Yes, the final design was beautiful but the issues that came along with creating it was awful. Yes, we successfully went live because I hired another developer to bring the site live because I lost all confidence in Optimum7 going live without error. When errors were found at go live and I requested your team fix them I was again in a situation where I was told fixes were made when they were not and had to hand them back to the team multiple times. All in writing.....

I have hired Optimum7 a number of times over the years for help with my online marketing, overall presence as well as designing my websites. It’s all good. The best thing they ever did for me was creating a dynamic presentation that helped me land the largest account we ever had and still have the pleasure of serving. They handled the marketing side, of course, but they also developed a clean online process for ordering our packaging, mainly cups in this case, for really big volume orders. This ability we now possess to accept and execute on huge orders could not have been done without the online development expertise of Optimum7. I would recommend them to anyone for marketing, development and old fashioned brain power.

They were also able to get me PR placements on a couple of very important industry sites where I continuously get leads from. I read all the negative reviews that were left for them here on Google and I’m shocked to see them. My experience is completely positive with them. However, I also recognize that eCommerce and Online Marketing is extremely competitive and some businesses might get frustrated only after a few months. Duran and the team at Optimum7 have given me some incredible insight and advice on how to improve the marketing in my own company. I have been following Duran on social media for a few years and recently connected. He took the time to walk me through some key things that we should be looking at and adjusting to improve our marketing. Optimum7 has been a great company to partner with. I began my journey with this company about 2 years ago when they created a module on the back end of our website to allow our customers to shop with other payment options. It was a very intricate project and was instrumental in the success of our website. From the start to the completion of this project Optimum7 was very professional and was always updating us on the progress. Since then I have used Optimum7 for several other projects on our site and will continue to use this company in the future.
