The hiring process at Novartis is cumbersome, unclear, and inefficient. I've interviewed with the company twice, and in both instances, it became apparent that they had no clear understanding of the roles they were hiring for. Job descriptions (JDs) are vague, and you're left to figure out the specifics during the interview itself. Even when a particular skill set is mentioned in the JD, it often leads to assumptions about the role, but when you believe you've had a strong interview, they offer vague responses like "you're too good for the role" or other unclear excuses. If my qualifications weren't relevant, why shortlist me in the first place? What's worse, there's no consistency. Candidates are asked for entirely different skill sets, even when interviewing for the same position. The hiring team lacks clarity, and this confusion wastes the time and effort of candidates. On top of that, they make you wait all day for an offline interview—something that could easily be done online. If you're considering applying here, I wouldn't recommend it. It's a frustrating and inefficient experience. Don't waste your time.
