New england center and home for veterans customer reviews

I live here now and the staff is deplorable. I had one of several issues that I was dealing with and unfortunately I had to go all the way up to the Vice President to have him lie to my face. This is not a charity, it is a business. And from what I saw at Christmas most of the food that was donated was taken by cleaning staff. We should have been eating on that for days. And then, to top it off, you have Mr., I have no respect for anyone and I'm not even going to pretend that I do, Warren Manigault, is another one with a public email address until you send him something about an actual issue. The "PROFESSIONAL" way that these petty gentlemen handled the issue was they chose not to even discuss it. I went to school for business management and have worked in the field. The way these "men" handle their operations is a disgrace! Besides that the only part of the building that we are trying to put money in and keep up is what the public sees, the first floor, oh and of course the offices. We have totally let the residential part go. This is not the way to treat veterans!

THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR VETERANS My father does not drink, or use any drugs, and doesn’t even smoke cigarettes. My father is one of the few good guys that was living there, and they kicked him out because he went to the hospital to many times they said! They even stole lots of his personal belongings while he was in the hospital. My father needed help, and now he is about to get discharged from the hospital with no where to go! My father has cancer, vertigo, PTSD, Panic attack disorder, and has had heart surgery. My father came here for help with finding a apartment, and got kicked out, and his stuff was stolen while he was at the hospital! I personally picked up my father’s belongings while he was in the hospital and they gave me only one pair of his pants, and put his military papers and medications in a bag all mixed up together like it was trash. My father is missing his walking cane, and lots of clothes, and pictures. Pictures of family members that is no longer with him.

This place don't care about vets. This place is an exploitation scheme. The owner Warren. He is a fat Black man with glasses. He likes to harass veterans and he treats employees like trash.

I am not a vet but I do have a few things to share. By the grace of God I got sober in March 2011. I spent a lot of time trying to find a meeting that I felt comfortable going to. Among other places, the Vet's Center was a great fit for me. The meetings are every night but Tues. Before the renovation began the meeting was held in the dining area. Then they moved us to the basement, which is a much smaller space. I received my 8 month chip here, as well as my 3 year medallion. I have a great deal of gratitude for the NEVS. Also, my late husband, who was a Vietnam veteran, ran into trouble about 15 years ago and stayed at the center for a short time. This allowed him to get back on his feet. It's a great place for services.
