Madcap Coffee

I love a good coffee shop and Madcap was super cool! I went right at 8am and there were already people lined up for them to open. Unfortunately, I’m not really a coffee or tea person, so, I mainly go to coffee shops for the vibes and food. I ordered an Apple Cinnamon muffin and it was really good! Super fresh and very tasty. Awesome experience!

I think I’ve found my favorite coffee shop! I’m in from out of town staying around the corner. Searched for a local coffee shop and found Madcap. Loved everything about this shop! The person at the counter took the time to converse which I always appreciate. There is some limited outside seating which was nice. Plenty of inside table and counter seating. A great place to sit with family/friends to converse, or to sit and get some work done. Open and comfortable space with a minimalist approach to decor. Let’s the coffee equipment shine! Also, take the time to look at the decor remnants at the top of the back/brick wall. Beautiful! Oh, and the latte was terrific!! They roast their beans locally!! Pastry assortment was not huge, but tasted great and displayed well.

The latte was fantastic! Great service! Nice place! I didn’t notice the coffee flight before I ordered, otherwise I would have ordered that. Oh well, next time.

Excellent honey cinnamon latte. Really cool shop. They use homemade syrups and clearly care about the quality of their drinks. Wait was a bit long but it was a busy Saturday morning.

I have been to Madcap Coffee Company in Grand Rapids the last few times I visited the city. Every time I went there was impressed with their beverages and the overall cleanliness of the coffee shop. The staff is very business like, although I see them more engaging with their regulars; which can be both a pro and a con depending on what you are expecting from a coffee shop. The view out the windows is perfect if you are a people watcher since it overlooks a fairly busy foot traffic corner. When you hang out inside either waiting for you drink, or enjoying your beverage it always feels very relaxed and inviting. I will add they are not the fastest coffee shop in the world, so if you are in a rush it may not be the place for you. But if you are looking for a well made and relaxing coffee or tea, I highly encourage you to stop by.

I love getting coffee from local establishments when visiting from out of town. I’ve gone to this place when we are visiting more than a few times, and because they have great coffee and are rated highly. Each time I go though, their coffee gets more and more expensive and it seems for a lesser amount. I know and realize prices have gone up, but this place seems very, very high in their prices compared to other places I have gotten coffee from. Onetime I spent over $75 in coffee and they offered me a free coffee. So nice and appreciated! I know many places do this when you purchase their coffee. This time it was over $90 in coffee, and offered nothing. I find that this was a bit disappointing and not customer friendly. The guy at the counter was not even friendly about it. Like I was asking for a golden cup. I’m not sure I will go back. Really too bad. A small gesture in my opinion goes a long way when you try to support local establishments.

This place opens late, but it was well worth the wait. The coffee was amazing and so were all of the staff. Adorable shop. 10/10!!!

Great coffee, great service, nice little tables to enjoy outside. Everything you want in a coffee shop.

I ordered an oat milk latte with a side of granola while doing some work and it was perfect! The place is very welcoming and comfortable, I spent a few hours here and will definitely be coming back!
