Jiobit

This device is small and lightweight, my son does not mine wearing it. It clips securely to his pants. The unit seems quite accurate and we like that it alerts us when he enters and leaves safe locations. It has several modes of tracking, making it work pretty much anywhere. We had extra peace of mind with him wearing the device at theme parks such as Disney. Highly recommend. The only down side is that the battery can drain quickly, especially when actively tracking him. We hope the company can significantly improve battery life with firmware updates as well as more advanced technology in future units.

This is an amazing product for my son with Autism. It’s very small and easy for him to wear all day. The piece of mind this device provides is truly priceless. **updated** Unfortunately I have gone through many of these devices in the last few years and the latest updated devices don’t seem to last as long as the original devices. The customer service after the company was purchased by tile has also been slow to respond and not very helpful. I would no longer recommend this device.

I'm using the Jiobit on my 1st grader who rides the bus to after school care. I do really like that I receive a notification when he leaves school and arrives at daycare. However, the notifications are delayed and the "live" tracking takes FOREVER to sync up and by then it's way behind. I bought this thinking it'd be very accurate, but that's not my experience at all. A cheap cell phone would work significantly better for accurate live tracking.

Got this for my 5 year old son that has Down Syndrome. He’s an explorer and just started Kindergarten and has already gotten away from the teacher and out of the school. So far this is perfect. You set up “Trusted Places” and will get alerts when they leave or enter the proximity set for those places. I can watch on my phone in real time where he’s at. He just started riding the bus and I watched the entire route they took from the school to home. After 4 days of use the battery was at 48%.

We’ve been using Jiobit now for several months to track our dog. I have another tracker and find the reliability of Jiobit to be a bit better. Would like to be able to track health stats with Jiobit but being confident we can locate our pet when she escapes is the most important feature for us. We would of course like to see improvements and quicker alerts on escapes and even more timely notifications while trying to track, but response times seem to be on par with similar trackers. Much can happen within a few minutes.
