Interpersonal psychiatry customer reviews

While I have had trivial issues with Interpersonal Psychiatry, let me say that this place is the go to for your prescriptions. The staff that takes phone calls, (Jessica and Frankie are the only two that I know of) are amazing and they’re quick to tackle my issues, and I cannot stress that enough. To the people who say that this place is slow to call in your prescriptions, just be persistent and patient!!! P.S. Sharma McKinney is THE best!

This is genuinely the most unprofessional practice I've ever been to, and that's coming from someone who has worked with probably 10+ psychiatrists in their life. The one reason I see a psychiatrist is for medication, yet somehow I am constantly running into issues getting my medications and prescriptions. I'll be told that I'm getting a prescription and then it'll simply never get sent in, leaving me having to call and remind them every single time I need a prescription updated or refilled or get a new medication. Multiple times I've had to go multiple days or more without my meds because I'm still waiting on a refill or response from them.

So incredibly awful and unprofessional. I came in for med management and my concerns were completely disregarded. I was told Lexapro “doesn’t cause weight gain” even though that is literally the first side effect that comes up when you search it up. I asked for a medication to help me sleep that wouldn’t cause weight gain because it was distressing to me, and then I was prescribed mirtazapine, an appetite stimulant. I gained 15 more pounds on top of the 25 that Lexapro gave me. I was also prescribed Propanolol for as needed anxiety relief. I came in again about a month later because the propanolol wasn’t working and I was experiencing levels of anxiety that were becoming detrimental to my health. My provider, Preet, told me to stop taking the propanolol and “we will see what happens”, without giving me any other options. Because of this, I had to turn to dangerous sources for anxiety relief. I know 3 other people that have a similar experience with this practice. To add, my psychiatric evaluation was only 15 minutes which is not nearly enough time to gauge the depth of any mental health issue. Stay far away.

I was part of therapy first before they moved to their new location, then a year after seeing a therapist I started seeing Dr. Soni in lawrence, now I started doing spravato last week. I have noticed wonderful improvements in my quality of life and getting my emotions somewhat under control and working through my trauma. The staff has been very understanding and wonderful to me every step of the way the last 2 1/2 years. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I have been a patient at Interpersonal Psychiatry for close to 9 months to help get my mental health medications sorted out. During this time I have attempted to use the phone number to schedule appointments or call to speak to someone regarding appointments. Unfortunately, I have never been able to speak to someone in those instances. Why have a phone number posted if there’s no one there to answer the phone?
