Instamed customer reviews

I very rarely leave bad reviews but this is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. I set up my private practice and tried to enroll in eft payments. I was told by blue cross blue shield it should take a few days. After a month of one issue after another I gave up. Every customer service rep tells you something different. Nobody calls or emails you back. I was told they could not verify my phone number thru my npi or bcbs website so i had to do a paper application and they would send one to me within 2-3 days via email. Never got it. Called back and was told i didnt need a paper application at all and they would just update my number in their system and I should be set up in a few days. Never heard anything. Called back and was told I do need a paper application and again they would send it to me within 2-3 via email. Again, never got it. Called back, emailed multiple times, nobody gets back to me. I had multiple ‘tickets’ opened, then closed with nobody fixing the problem or contacting me. Literally nothing was done. I went thru the hassle of updating my information on the bcbs website which I did not want to be listed on because I work from home and did not want my personal address listed. I tried to reapply thru the electronic instead of paper application that apparently never shows up or exists, but the website would not work. I called customer service for the 100th time and tried to explain. I was told my account was ‘terminated’. I asked what does that even mean? The guy ‘put me on hold to investigate’ and then hung up on me. I called back yet again and I at this point was beyona frustrated. I tried to explain while the rude guy on the phone kept talking over me and not letting me explain the issue I was having. Then he said if I don’t want to be patient’ then I have to wait to hear from someone. At that point I was done. I’m not being patient? I haven’t been paid in a month and your company is utter garbage. I am going with paper checks directly from bcbs. At this rate I am not even sure this company is competent enough to send my payments to the right bank account. I have literally never, in any capacity, dealt with this level of incompetence. I would work for free before I’d use this service.

I would give a zero if that was possible, I made payment in May for my surgery. They sent the payment to wrong provider. After around 11 calls and multiple escalations they are saying they cannot do anything because the wrong provider is not returning their call. First learn to take responsibility if you make a mistake of mishandling my funds I shouldn't suffer. You should refund me back in full so I can pay the original provider who is sending me past due payment notices. All of this hassle because I paid through Cigna / InstaMed website. This is the worst service I have experienced through InstaMed zero sense of accountability.

1 star is way too many for this company! Contact information on the invoice was my doctors office. Duh! I called dr’s office and was given the runaround. Wasted half the morning on this nonsense. Hours of my life I’ll never get back. The so-called receipt they provide doesn’t even have their name on it or what it’s for. Just gimme the money. Terrible.

One star is too many for this company. They never sent my payments electronically. They used USPS instead, which took several weeks. When they sent payments to the wrong PO Box, I asked them to cancel the payments and refund my account. I was told they were canceled, and my account would be refunded. A week later, I received an email from InstaMed that my account was credited with the funds. It was not. When I called InstaMed to ask why my account did not receive the funds, they said they were still processing them. I received a second email a week after the first email stating that funds will be in my account the next day. Yet again, they were not. When I called InstMed this time, they said that they did send them and to give my bank the trace numbers so they could locate the funds. My bank said that the trace numbers mean nothing and that InstaMed did not send the funds. They suggested that I contact the Better Business Bureau. Not until I contacted the Texas State Attorney General were the funds returned to my account. The Texas State Attorney General's response: ...Consumer complaints help us monitor trends and assist in determining enforcement priorities as we work to protect Texans from deceptive business practices. ....In matters of statewide significance, or when substantive evidence indicates that a person or business is engaging in widespread violations of Texas law, the Attorney General may take action on behalf of the collective legal interests of the people of this state.

their support is HORRIBLE. their site will tell you to call in, then their support line will hang up on you after waiting 15 minutes on hold, telling you to send an email. once you send an email, it takes a full day for a response, they don't have anyone who can ACTUALLY help troubleshoot an issue. just trying to pass the buck all day and close out their support cases. they don't deserve to do business. site never saves information appropriately, and it's declining my card repeatedly, even though it works elsewhere and my bank has no failed transactions on record. in response to your reply: I have an active case, possibly the 10th one at this point, submitted same day letting you know of the reviews here and BBB.
