Hotel Manang

This is a fantastic hotel and deserves 5 stars. All the staff from reception to dining and housekeeping are extremely polite and helpful. The only reason I am deducting 1 star from the rooms is initially I was offered a smaller room which was not accessible by lift and was inconvenient as I was travelling with elderly parents. However, within a day this was upgraded to a convenient sized room which was accessible by lift. The main attraction for this hotel is its kitchen and the chef who is amazing and I had the most elaborate breakfast variety daily. In addition, the chef catered to a vegetarian Indian dinner with variety and the restaurant staff being efficient, polite and courteous. The hotel is situated in Thamel - which is a busy place but is conveniently located at walking distance to many of the attractions and is the backside of the Kathmandu Darbar Square. The hotel is well maintained and has a positive vibe and I would strongly recommend this to my friends and family. Keep up the good work and many many compliments specially to the chef and the restaurant staff who made our stay memorable.

I want to give 0 star but that's not an option. WORST service ever! Yesterday, we were supposed to hold an important meeting. They changed our hall and did not provide the hall that was agreed upon. Our program was delayed by half an hour because of their mismanagement. They neither apologized nor made an attempt to fix the problem immediately. Also, the picture of their hall is misleading, in real the hall is filthy. Will never do business with them again.

Super nice hotel! Great hotel. Everything was nice. Me and my clients & himalayan yati trek and travels would surely choose it again next time we visit hotel manag. Great location, great service, friendly staff. Good value for the money. Breakfast dinner soup desert was delicious. And cultural dance and cultural drama is also is like real & Very comfortable. Excellent hotel, prime location! The staff is absolutely amazing! Warm welcoming and smiley greetings, an interesting hotel tour with a lot of details, seamless and quick luggage handling, a cozy breakfast with a variety of dishes to satisfy every taste, incredible spa/massage. Rooms are neatly clean and spacious, just make sure you’ve requested the upgraded unit. My special appreciation to the front desk staff! They are extremely helpful resolving any issues at no time. I highly recommend the Manang Hotel!

There was an average good ambience, despite being inside the core city of Kathmandu, Thamel, there is a peaceful environment. The food items were tasty, especially Chicken Sekuwa. The ambience could be improved to look more majestic. Decent service and cannot complain much about it. There is parking but, parking affects the entrance directly. Though it is understandable to have parking in such a narrow area.
