We like to try local beer and food when we travel and we found this place on social media and had to check it out. Bartender was nice and knowledgeable about the beers, we tried most of them! They had a lot of choices that day!

Walked into the smell of “dog” plus something else not pleasant. Atmosphere was not inviting- but we wanted to try their beers. Kolsch was not good, but my hubby’s double IPA was good. So a mixed review.

l visited Hops&Grain on Friday and joined their (free) brewery tour from 5pm. Luke was really nice and in about half an hour we learned a lot, looked into the facilities. If you're interested in that send them an email before hand just to be sure. Btw there are tours Saturdays too. Beers are great and I couldn't resist handcut papas from the outside food truck - easy and delicious pairing. Other people's food looked delicious too. Check if there is musician playing outside, there was one on Friday.

Tucked away in East Austin, this was a nice little find. Excellent selection of IPAs although not all of them were awesome. Certainly a few really solid ones. Service is friendly and taproom is pretty laid back.
