Hopdoddy Burger Bar

First time was so good I had to make sure to return before my I headed to the airport as I was leaving Texas. Burgers were great! Fairly priced as well. My group ended up ordering too many fries the first day. The regular order of fries are HUGE. In the picture, you see the small size which is perfect for one person imo. Great place to sit down and eat and they have a nice bar area as well. If you're in Texas definitely pass by and check them out.

The service was great and the food was excellent! We had a thunder bowl, a Buffalo Bill, and fries - which were fried and salted to perfection. Good cocktails and beer selection as well. It's definitely a good find!

Great burger bar in a fun culinary district in Austin! Were fairly busy at dinner on a Thursday, but we didn't have trouble finding a table for a large group. Indoor and outdoor seating available, and you order at the counter. Can get a bit loud for those who can be sensitive to noise, fair warning. Ordered a double bacon jam burger and a mini salted caramel shake. Both were outstanding. Fries are only available as separate shareable appetizers, but come in a number of souped-up varieties. Sad we don't live in the area so we could try all the burgers, fries, and shakes!

I've been to Hopdoddy several times before this, but never considered writing a review until now. It wasn't bad any time before, but this time just really made me happy. I stopped in for an early weekday lunch. Honestly, that's the best time to come to this location. Lots of Congress Ave. parking (don't forget to pay... I saw lots of parking tickets) and no wait at the restaurant. The employees greeted me as I walked in the door and were very friendly. I ordered the Burger of the Month called the Roosevelt. It was a bison burger with cherry/fig/honey jam, crispy onions, black peppercorn/lemon arugula, and a hearty block of goat cheese. It was so insanely delicious. Not only was the burger cooked perfectly (in my opinion at least) but the flavors mixed so well. It was a really well balanced burger. I had to force myself to eat slower so I could enjoy it longer haha. Honestly, I look forward to more burgers from there, especially the fun Burgers of the Month.

First time going and it wasn’t all that good. Got the burger fries and a shake. The classic was over seasoned with pepper and pretty dry. O got the egg added to mine and it was cooked so long it was rubbery and had to remove it to finish my burger. The Fries were also very tough and rubbery, it literally broke my denture trying to bite a piece off. The shake was luke warm and very runny. The shake didn’t taste bad just warm. $40 for two people to eat and not very good food. I wouldn’t recommend going and we will not go again. The ac was out at the same time and it was 89 degrees on the bldg so we ended up taking it to go.
