Placed an order on the 16th of December for a gift bast for Christmas- this is what was sent to my people. The fact that they received rotted fruit was bad but fixable… but not easily- the chat customer service experience is AWFUL! I couldn’t get anyone on the phone (that I could communicate with because I couldn’t understand what the agent who answered the phone was saying) very disappointed.

I was Christmas shopping for family in Ohio. I heard Harry and David’s had shipping options. I wanted something NW for my family. I asked about shipping a gift box. The lady told me to go to UPS. I said it’s refrigerated. She said, “that’s on you.” Not a helpful answer. I didn’t buy it and I was a little put off by the interaction. I accept the reason they don’t ship from this location. Would be nice if they had an option to pick out the product in the store and the order could be sent to the shipping department. Expecting me to go online is not what I wanted and really invited me to shop and product compare with competitors. You already got me in the door. You should have closed the deal. I ended up spending less because of this interaction.

Once a go to for holiday gift giving and I used to be excited to receive a Harry & David gift. Quality has dropped significantly. 1. The pears are no longer fresh and if you are lucky they will last 3-days. 2. I ordered a gift basket that came as a "do it yourself kit". A gift basket came in a box with the ingredients and the basket which we ordered with the name on it came with a Velcro patch that didn't even stick to the basket. Nothing wrapped at all. Not a finished product. So glad we didn't send this directly to the recipient. I am done!

Plenty of things in this store to keep you engaged. Their fresh fruit is sometimes priced much better than the local supermarkets. The variety of items from local producers to hard to find items makes this county store worth visiting. Each time I visit, the employees have been very kind, helpful and welcoming. Have gone on the H&D Tour twice and that's another must-do. Nice look into the inner workings of what makes H&D special.

My mom sent one of these gift boxes to us for Christmas. It arrived days late, and company refused to give tracking number. There were four cheeses in the box which were not refrigerated. These cheeses said 'perishable keep refrigerated ' now have to go in the trash. I do not understand how a company can send perishable goods across state lines without keeping them cool or at least attempting to.
