This is a fraud because they do not refund the subscription and they auto-renew

Customer Services in billing department is difficult to work with. Don't expect flexibility in billing options with this company. The billing department is very disorganized and they don't respond to customer emails. Very poor communication skills. The product of Getty Images isn't so bad tho. There are better stock image outlets out there. Don't settle.

There is a very dark side to Getty images. We are a small company selling restaurant equipment such as espresso machines, gelato machines, etc. Our web guy put a small picture of a bowl of ice cream, along with other pictures, on our website. Several months later we receive a threatening letter from Getty Images stating the ice cream picture was their copyrighted material, and demanded $780 for “copyright infringement”. This was just a bowl of ice cream! Nothing special or especially creative. Similar pictures on the web are free, or range in price of $5 - $35. The letter said even if we take it off our site we still owe them $780. And if we don’t pay up they will take us to court. This is bullying and extortion. The picture didn’t have a watermark, or anything else identifying the picture as Getty Images property. The picture came up in a simple google search along with free pictures. This is a scam. It appears Getty Images WANTS their pictures to be accidently used so they can hunt down anyone using them and extort them for large amounts of money. What a way to do business! I’m surprised they can get away with this. I’d love to hear of a class action lawsuit against this bully predator.

Clicked “purchase” for 1 image for $499… Nothing happened, yet our credit card was billed. After weeks of dealing with customer service the amount was refunded. Clicked “purchase” again…. Was charged TWICE After weeks of no refund we had to have our credit card company overturn the charge. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

My clients are continually being harassed by Getty Images for photos Getty claims are being illegally used on my client's website, when it is stock photography we have LEGALLY licensed from another stock site. Getty, it is NOT MY FAULT if you purchase photography that is also sold to other stock sites. You have wasted so much of my time and had my clients question my agency's credibility. Faceless corporate PIG.
