French Lick Resort

All of the staff that we have come in contact with have been welcoming and helpful. Overall top notch service! I would love to come back in the spring when there is not snow on the ground to further explore the grounds surronding the property. Even with the weather, they have done a good job of clearing sidewalks and pathways of snow. I appreciate that we can walk from the hotel to the casino and remain completely inside. I also really liked the holiday decorations that were still up, it was like walking through a door into a different time.

The French Lick Hotel exudes luxury and sophistication, with its soaring ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and plush furnishings. We felt like royalty (or at least, like we'd won the lottery). Room: 4/5 (cozy, but basic – last-minute booking meant we got what was left!) Since we booked our trip last-minute, we didn't have the luxury of choosing our room. Our basic room was, well, basic – but it was clean, comfy, and had everything we needed. We didn't spend much time in the room anyway, since we were too busy exploring the hotel and celebrating NYE! New Year's Eve Celebration: 5/5 (party hats, noise-makers, and a conga line) The French Lick Hotel knows how to throw a party! We joined the festivities in the grand ballroom, where we danced the night away to a live band, sporting our finest party hats and noise-makers. The conga line was a particular highlight – who knew my wife had such great conga skills? Dining: 4.5/5 (the buffet was epic, but the breakfast pancakes were a tad soggy)_ We indulged in the sumptuous New Year's Eve buffet, which featured an incredible spread of dishes, from prime rib to seafood. The only slight misstep was the breakfast pancakes the next morning – a tad soggy, but still delicious. Fun for the Whole Family: 5/5 (pizza, bowling, and games – yes, please!) One of the best parts about French Lick Hotel is that it's not just for hotel guests! They have a fantastic pizza shop, bowling alley, and game room that are all open to the public. We had a blast playing games and eating pizza – it was the perfect way to unwind after a night of partying. Service: 5/5 (the staff were friendly, attentive, and seemed to genuinely enjoy our company) The French Lick Hotel staff were absolute rockstars! I surprised my husband with a trip to French Lick Resort. This was our first time to this beautiful resort. From the time we checked in at the desk, the entire staff were amazing ... from the cleaning staff, shop staff, restaurant staff, valet, everyone was kind, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Our room was beautiful, clean, and just perfect. I loved that there were several bottles of water in the room (no extra cost). The heating/AC was wonderful (sometimes this isn't always the case). The casino is super clean and fun if you are into that. We also did a couples massage at the spa. It was a great experience. The Spa is very very nice. The Christmas decorations were absolutely beautiful. We loved the hourly light show on the outside of the resort. I would definitely recommend this resort, and visiting at Christmas time is a must! From the most pleasant check-in to the super friendly young men in valet parking, my stay at French Lick Springs Hotel was exceptional. The garden suite was beautiful and luxurious. Stunning views of the snow-covered grounds and holiday light displays.

The hotel is related to the West Baden Springs Resort and a free shuttle links them. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. Be sure to look up when in the lobby area to appreciate the intricate details of the workmanship. Be sure to visit the shops. There are plenty of other activities and restaurant choices. The staff is professional and friendly. Didn’t mention that there is a casino?
