Flour Bakery+Cafe

Our first visit to the cafe and the place was bustling with customers. Nestled in the historic district, it has that authentic local Boston vibe. The food was top-notch, with great vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Happily reporting a great experience at another Joanne Chang establishment! Flour has one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in the Seaport (the Breakfast Egg Sandwich with bacon or ham as my preference, but you can also get it with sausage) and I love their french toast, which is a thicker french toast and it's amazing. I'm trying to show restraint, but I definitely want to taste all of the bakery items they have... As an update, I’ve also tried their brown butter cinnamon roll which is 10/10. I love their banana bread too because it’s super moist and dense, but not heavy.

In addition to some familiar pastries, they have unique flavorful items like apricot scones, lemon ginger scones and strawberry pop tart! Pastries include savory items like cheese scones. Their devil foods cake truffle is addictive! Light and moist on the inside with a delicate shell on the outside 👌🏽several breakfast items like avocado toast and egg sandwiches freshly made. The espresso in their coffee drinks is bold and smooth. Cozy welcome environment. Friendly and helpful service. Overall great spot for breakfast or coffee and pastries/desserts. Quieter on weekday early mornings - very busy around lunch time. 🍉 ✌🏽

Delicious! As usual! The sticky buns are the best! Cinnamon rolls are also delicious. Had the Avocado Toast this time and it was good!

All you knead is love! I totally felt the love and passion put into Flour Bakery + Cafe, from the interior design, the overall atmosphere, and staff members. The staff were so knowledgeable off their products and were able to give me recommendations on what to try too! (Hint: you can’t go wrong on what you pick). I was only in Boston for three days, and yes, I stopped in every day of my visit. I love a good bakery and Flour Bakery is hands down one of the BEST bakery’s I’ve been too. I tried several things (see pictures). Everything tasted spectacular. Thank you Flour Bakery for all the deliciousness and such a wonderful experience during my visit in Boston.

Food: The cauliflower melt was soooo good and filling! I recall having it a few years ago in college, but it tasted even better after reuniting with it....

Nice little bakery with a lot of yummy looking goods! Very clean, too! Stopped for a quick bite to go after dropping some relatives at the airport....

Great breakfast spot - lots of menu options for different levels of hungriness and taste buds, solid coffee, and many fresh pastries. The ordering process...

I had high expectations for Flour Bakery as a fan of the Flour Bakery cookbooks. I was disappointed by my visit to Flour Bakery. I visited the Farnsworth location in the Seaport area. The bakery was small with some outdoor seating on an elevated sidewalk patio. The bakery was dark inside, the few tables inside were too close and the tables were not clean. The display area was very small and the selection was limited. A lot of orders were app orders so even though the line was short, the wait was long. We had a slice of quiche ($8) that just came out, a slice of coconut cake and a very large cup of chai latte ($5.75). Everything was okay but nothing stood out for me to go out of my way to visit Flour Bakery again during my Boston trip.

We chose to visit Flour based on a YouTube review that claimed it offered the original Boston Crème Pie. Ours tasted like Boston Cream Pie and Tiramisu had a baby. We were disappointed.

Good was nice and varied, plenty to choose from. Coffee was a little bitter. Good choose of seating, both high s low chairs.

Love flour, i visit evertime i am in Boston like once a year. I have all the flour cookbooks and use them frequently!
