We love this place. Good food, good beer, great atmosphere. Lost one star on the food because the steak was actually pot roast and our beef farmer guest was disappointed by that. The back deck is a new addition since we last visited and was lovely! We enjoyed a whipped feta appetizer that was big enough for a much larger party. The autumn beet and citrus salad with grilled chicken was delicious!

I've been meaning to come out here for awhile, and the experience did not disappoint. The Pulled Pork Mac & Cheese was different in presentation than I had expected, but it was very good! The greens on top ALMOST tricked me into thinking it was healthy. I liked that they had a Snake bite drink option, and then my flight was good all around, though the Outpost Premium was.... unremarkable compared to the other three? The only regret I have is I didn't notice their special burger for Friday until after I had ordered. So if you're planning to go on Friday, be sure to ask what their special burger is!

Outstanding in every way! Incredible views from the outdoor seating. Great service from Emily . Food is perfect the citrus salad as a side with the burger is delicious. The chicken sandwich was also excellent and very crispy. There are generous portions the burger is a double made with local beef. We had just one beer and it was cold and just bitter enough.

Went here for lunch on a Friday. They weren’t too crowded. Service was fast and accurate. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food we got was very good. They have a good selection of different styles of beer plus canned cocktails. Several of the beers were very good as will as the canned cocktails. The only small negative was the prices seemed high for the amount of food you get.

Just had 16 point ipa from tap. Ended up buying a 12 pack of Vienna (which is great) 17 bucks and a 6er of the 16 point 12 bucks I think. Service a was a bit slow to get in. We weren't eating so we just walked passed the unattended hostess table and went to the bar. Pretty cool place didn't order food just a quick stop to buy the lager. We had a Vienna at another local restaurant and I had to find more. This was the closet and probably the best place to get it. And just off 81 was easy to. Beer...solves all problems except alcoholism. We get this figured out and we can have it for breakfast again...... Thanks DB!

This place is right off of 81, so if your looking for a cool place to grab a bite and beer, consider this. We have not been able to sit outside yet...

Devils Backbone has really taken off over the years and while the beer is relatively good quality, it’s kind of lost its local, Nelson County feel and is now overly touristy. Regardless, their base camp off of Rte 151 does have alot to offer and seems like a fun place to stay if there is an event and/or live music scheduled. Restaurant is very good too. On the beer side, their flagship Vienna Lager is mediocre at best and kinda just seems like a bud light with a different label on the bottle. I’d recommend the 16 point IPA, which packs great flavor and is more of a sipper. Careful with this one as it’s on the high gravity side and most won’t be clear to drive after one of two pints. Ultimately, certainly worth checking out on your Nelson 151 beer crawl

The service, food, and brew are top notch. We sat by a cozy fireplace and enjoyed the warm atmosphere during Octoberfest weekend

Chain type restaurant, Not a micro brewery. Beer good. Food mediocre. Had to use their poorly designed app to order. Took forever and then realized they added a 22% tip to your bill that you had to delete if you didn't think having no service was worth 22%.

The ordering is QR only (hey folks covid is over). Very time consuming and cumbersome. We were passing through town and looking for a place for dinner. Although the food was ok, and the hostess was very friendly, we won't be back due to the crazy ordering system.

I would never come back here nor would I recommend it to anyone else. When we sat down I kept waiting for a server to come over and once he did he brought us some water and asked if we had any questions, once I told him he would like other drinks besides water and we were ready to order he let me know that I have to scan the qr code and place my order through there. We are a party of 8, this is totally unacceptable and crazy! I do not get paid to work here so why in the world would I type in and go through all the options and pages to place my tables order?! We got up and left, I have 5 children and this is bizarre to me.
