Deschutes Brewery

Good place to visit while in Portland downtown. Good brewery. Get taste beer plates first then buy beer whichever you want to buy from it. It has good ambiance and good vibe. They give early last call for food and drinks. It is crowded as well. So get in ahead of time and order early.

Ordered the single pub burger with salad. Excellent burger but felt small, I should have got the double. Homemade bun is the bomb. Salad was boring without my Midwest taste for French dressing. Fries were good off a friend’s plate. The wife had the Triple Berry French Toast and she loved it. Good food and fun atmosphere!

This place is legendary. They sell their IPA at my job in Kentucky so I definitely had to stop in while I was in town. I had a flight, I liked the sour so much that I had a pint of that as well. The food was also good. I had a salad and a pretzel with mustard and beer cheese. It was walking distance to from my hotel, I felt safe the entire time I was in Portland.

Service = phenomenal 👏 🙌 Food = didn't eat Vibe = fun , nicely lit , good ambiance, cool scenery Beer = lots of beers that taste like they are basement brewed. And a few that are good enough to order a tall of. But only a couple. Michigan breweries are by far superior, but I ain't hating on Deschutes. I'd still order up a round

We visited for the first time and it was fantastic place! They have a great selection of beer, especially I love Fresh Hop IPA. Also food was really good, wings, fries and pasta were really delicious! My only concern was it took a bit of time to order. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

TOUR WAS GREAT! OUR TOUR GUIDE WAS INFORMATIVE AND FUN. WE LEARNED A LOT ABOUT THE BREWING PROCESS AND WE WERE ABLE TO TASTE SOME INTERESTING BEERS!

Visited the brewery and bar as part of my “Bend Ale Trail” adventure. Enjoyed the brewery tour and a couple of free bees, plus more tasters than I could have asked for. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

If you’re a beer aficionado, this is a fantastic tour. I am ashamed to say I live near Bend and have never done the tour before or bothered to taste any Deschutes Beer. The price was right!! (I mean, $15 per person including a can of beer plus a couple tastings?), the beer was good and the guide and information spot on. Too much information actually, so he had to speak pretty rapidly and it was factory noisy so I feel like I missed a lot. BUT, that just means I won’t mind going back to do the tour again if friends come to town. Two of us had to wait for one of our party who had an appointment afterwards, so we went into downtown to the Deschutes Brew Pub (after a fortifying Expresso) and spent an hour and a half tasting and talking to other patrons. So fun!

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour, very informative. My second tour, I really enjoyed getting a beer of choice prior to the tour, nice change from the first tour we took. Tour guide was excellent.

During my spring break trip to Bend Oregon with my friends, we visited the Deschutes Brewery. At the Brewery, we took a tour and learned about the history of Deschutes beer. It was very fascinating and a cool experience. I knew a little bit about how beer is made before going on the tour, but learning more about the process has definitely helped me get a better understanding of beer and what beers are good and which to stay away from. If you do choose to go on a tour and are 21+ you get to try one of the beer’s for free and samples throughout the tour. If you’re looking for some history fun in Bend, like beer, and are traveling this would be a fun experience!
