Dentsply Sirona

My experience with DENTSPLY SIRONA has been horrible and disheartening. I bought Complete chair side system(CEREC) in August 2021, Omnicam scanner, Primemill and speedfire. It costs you close to one crore. When you spend that much money, you expect a great product and service. Unfortunately, you will get nothing except false promises & sugar coated statements. After a month, the battery of the scanner stopped working and the same was replaced. You don’t expect the battery to break down in a month. We have had endless issues with both the scanner and the milling unit. A gazillion errors - both while scanning and milling. After sometime, scanner battery again stopped charging and had to be replaced. Mind you, worldwide dentists have reported this issue and this is not an isolated incidence. In 2024, the scanning issues have been so much that we have hardly been able to use the scanner. In fact the problem increased so much that I purchased another Itero scanner to be able to still offer digital dentistry to my patients. The motor of the milling unit has been changed & PC of scanner has been changed. All this in less than 3 years. We are not even talking about minor errors & parts replacement which costs you days of unproductive work. The PC change was done after a month. The whole process and experience is a nightmare. After spending so much money, nobody can afford unproductive months altogether. The attitude of Dentsply representatives is casual and irresponsible. Dentsply doesn’t even honor the PURCHASE ORDER. There are things in writing that have not been fulfilled. (Again, not an isolated experience) The scanner is bad - you have to use a scan spray. And the spray isn’t cheap either. There are many better scanners in the market. There is no compensation for the time and money lost. There are so many CAD blocks that get wasted due to their machinery failures- no replacement of the same. The parts are expensive and come at a very heavy cost or you have to pay staggering amount for the AMC - fancy CEREC CLUB Membership. I am not saying that it’s not a good machine, it’s great once you learn to use it. Again, Dentsply will not make any effort in helping you go through the process of learning curve. Also, machine is only great if it works. The problem is constant breakdowns and sluggish Dentsply team response and action. Overall, it’s a very expensive toy - 1/10 experience. Anyone planning to buy the CEREC system or for that matter anything from DENTSPLY- think at least a thousand times before spending your hard earned money!

Worst company dealing. I have called them many a times to register myself for buying products. There is no valid response from their side. They just forward my registration concern to their local representative and nothing happens. As a dentist I am disappointed in them that these guys do not want to sell their products. They opened their website just for showing off. They have made a complex system to purchase products. Worst experience with this company out of all dental product companies.
