Cambridge Suites Hotel Halifax

Stayed for four nights. Staff was professional and accommodating. Rooms need a major refresh, furniture is dinged and scratched, bed was fairly comfortable, but I’ve had much better. Got a sore back sitting on the sofa. Would never see myself sleeping on the sofa bed. Water pressure was amazing, even though the tub filled up while I was having a shower. Have never had such great water pressure. Restaurant was OK, For dinner service And breakfast buffet. Not open for lunch,limited menu, and a little pricey. Breakfast was free, cereal, oatmeal, toast, scrambled eggs, and hashbrowns. Same menu for the week we were there. Would love to have seen pancakes, but what can you do? It was free. Was a 15 minute walk straight downhill to the harbour and close to lots of bars and restaurants.

Great location. Fair price. Few issues with room - coffee maker leaked, toilet sounded like it was possessed when you flushed it, not to mention it's so small that your knees are practically in your chest when you sit on it, pretty uncomfortable. Shower was fine but no shelf to put your soap on, not a gripe just something noticed. Air exchanger is loud and dried our faces and lips out, woke up like I needed to drink 15 glasses of water. Ordered the steak sandwich for dinner, had a strange aftertaste like cooked on newly "lit with lighter fluid" coals. Bed was comfortable, pillows were comfortable, and didn't have any noise issues from neighbours. Had a great sleep, Breakfast does not include bacon or sausages which is something I was hoping for at 200$ a night. Just eggs, hashbrown, toast/bagel options, yogurt, granola, juice/coffee/tea. Hashbrowns are heavily salted. Coffee is great. Overall, I likely won't be staying here again and will choose another hotel.

Beautiful rooms ! Stayed here for the one night when outside the hotel I seen the manager outside talking to someone they were yelling . Then all of a sudden someone was running at me , he was yelling to get into the hotel . He demanded to use my phone and I had no choice but to give it to him as I was scared what he was going to do , thought he may try to harm me . He looked to be on drugs . The manager knew I was outside and knew this man was too and never warned me or anything .I could not get him to give my phone but then he finally gave it up . Then I was going in and the person followed me right in. The manager stated don’t go in but he did it anyway . It was absolute night mare terrible . I believe maybe this place should have security! Not sure what to do just absolutely horrible experience! Very scary ! Never go anywhere alone here !!

We got a room with a kitchenette and it was amazing. Breakfast was handled at the hotel, lunches were made in the kitchenette then we had a choice if we wanted to eat out or not. The location is fantastic, walking distance to everything downtown. The rooms were very clean and all staff very friendly. No complaints at all!

Ok so this hotel is pretty great. Clean, large rooms, good free breakfast, friendly staff. Their HUGE downfall is the parking situation. They oversell spots so if you want to come and go, be prepared to show up to no space available even though you paid the $25 fee. If you don’t have a vehicle or don’t plan on coming and going - then it’s no worry at all.
