Boston medical center customer reviews

This poor rating is for the nurse I had after surgery on Menino 4 east this week! The care I got was awful. The nurse was nice person but an awful at caring for patients . I had jaw surgery was in so much pain . She had no sense of urgency . I was vomiting the liq Tylenol she tried giving me immediately and I wasn’t able to really swallow pills so she said she had to ask doctors about I v pain meds said she would get back to me . She never got back to me for hours ! She was also trying to have me use straw to drink when I wasn’t allowed straws was supposed to be on full liq diet . She never checked in on how I was if I was still throwing up , if I was taking in fluids or if I been icing . with no proper pain control! so uncomfortable . she disappeared never checked in . My bolus iv started beeping I could not get anyone to come in so I literally pressed the nurses button for help as well and no help came for 50 min !! I could have been on the floor at that point . When they did come back I never was allowed to finish my bolus instead of fixing it she just unhooked me even though I wasn’t taking any liq in . The bolus still hung on the pole full ? It was obscene that there was no one anywhere to help address patients care . After laying there in pain gagging blood coming out of my nose and mouth asking for help ringing the button etc I finally got up and out of bed on my own . wobbly on my feet and started calling out into the hallways for help. I was offered ice pack only twice once that night and once by an aid the next morning . It was the worst aftercare from surgery that I have ever experienced. The aid that came to help in the middle of the night was amazing. She cleaned all the blood of my face that I was left sitting in and tied my hair up gave me ice . I have all the respect in the world for nurses but the one I had after surgery was just plain awful . When she did come in she would be checking herself out in the mirror . Not kidding !! When she should been paying attention to my doctors orders . It was a nightmare . the worst night and I couldn’t wait to run out of there . My surgical staff was amazing all of them . But that nurse left to care for me after surgery should not be handling patients . On the other note everyone else was great . Never want to have to go back on that unit again

I want share the horrible experience I bad to go through after a surgery this morning, floor 4 observation unit is the worst place to be. It all starts from the MD’s, PCA’S Nurse(s), Social worker(s) to the front desk person feel when you have to request through your remote, they just are careless of patients. Take a nurse over 45 minutes to make it to a room, doctors are worst take them over an hour to make it to a room and just dude speak over you and just basically they tell it’s what they say or go home. Faulkner hospital has gotten way better please if you need emergency room service reconsider. Higher ups need to re-evaluate your hospital. HORRIBLE I am already having anxiety for an overnight stay.👎🏽

I had called the pulmonary doctor shen, after being seen in urgent care days later,to complain of my breathing and to also let him know that they found fluid around my lungs,to see if I could see him since he’s a expert in that department !!! He proceeded to let me know that the earliest that he could see me was 3 weeks …I said but I already have a paralyzed diaphragm and don’t wanna take a chance with the other lung….he said that was the soonest,I then ask to speak to supervisor who tells me that I can get a a week and a half later,I said ok…well 2 days later…..I was still sick ,mad an appointment at the clinic,as soon as the doctor saw me she said YOU NEED A CAT SCAN TODAY!!!!and she immediately sent me to the emergency room!!!! My question is why wasn’t it important enough for the pulmonologist to take my sickness seriously!!!! My mom had the same thing 15 months earlier, they told her she was fine and a week later she wasn’t fine, she passed away….as result of the fluid!!! Except you got shot or stabbed or absolutely have no other choice….Sandi yourself a favor go somewhere else!!

I am a raptured brain aneurysm survivor. I have been a patient of BMC since 2019. I have been getting good care with all the Neurologist that were assigned to me. The reason for me leaving a feedback today is because of Dr. Mohamad Abdalkader. Not only did Dr. Abdalkader saved my life, he has also proactively recommended to have both of my daughters have an MRI to check for any possible brain aneurysm. The best thing is HE RECOMMENDED that they get scanned! I did not have to ask. His office also helped get the testing done, and my kids had the MRI appointment and an appointment to see him on the same day. This is the type of care you expect from your healthcare providers. They look after you and your loved ones to make sure you remain healthy. Dr. Abdalkader is truly a GREAT and COMPASSIONATE doctor. I am blessed that he was the one who operated on me when my brain aneurysm raptured in 2019.
