Benugo

I use this outlet most times when I am at Waterloo and arrive too early for my departure. Admittedly I only order the Latte Coffee, which I have always found acceptable. The attraction for me is the location. Seated high above the departure board, there is almost always an available seat. There are plenty of other places for food.

I visited a coffee shop inside Waterloo Station. The only positive aspect was its convenient location. Unfortunately, both the drinks and food were very mediocre. I couldn't finish my meal as it was quite unpalatable, and I left after eating less than half. I wouldn't recommend this place.

For train station coffee it was actually incredible. The milk was so silky and soft. Both staff members were so friendly too.

Ordered a sausage bap and latte for something warm on a Sunday morning before catching a train, latte OK but the bap was disgusting, the bread roll was rock hard and the half a sausage (not even a full sausage!) Was chewy and felt like yesterday's unsold item, £7.50 for a bad taste and fingers crossed I'm not poisoned.

We brought food, water and beer and sat down in their seating area. A waitress approached us and told us that we would have to leave as this area was closed. They had no signs or barrier saying it was closed. We told her that we were waiting for our train and we would be gone in 10 mins. She insisted we left and we told her to go and get her manager as we were not ready to go. The manager came and also told us to leave. We asked why and they told us that it was because England were playing and they were afraid of football violence. I am 60 and my wife is in her 50s, our friends are older and retired. The really odd thing is the other part of the restaurant was full of families eating and drinking. Needless to say we will never go to Benugo again!

I would have never thought to go here for drinks after work but my friend spotted it in timeout so we decided to come after work for a drink on a Friday....

Another favourite place of mine to drop in for some coca cola or a tasty organic cider. The perfect place to sit and watch the world go by....
