My friend Steven and I lunched at Battello restaurant at 502 Washington Blvd., Jersey City, NJ today and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We ordered a few dishes and found their assortment of seafood and salads delicious. We enjoyed a few preparations of lobster and they were very pleasing to the taste. The decor was lovely and server Jessica was pleasant and attended to our table with charm and efficiency. She is to be commended. Also, bar-back Ben was a nice addition to the bar area. I highly recommend Battello’s as an eatery to dine at.

Definitely owns the top spot of “Must Eat” in Jersey City….id argue the entire state. Fantastic service, ambiance, food, drinks, and aesthetics. Incredible warehouse vibes with gorgeous Manhattan skyline views. For starters, the Zepolis is a must. Just order it, you won’t be sorry! For mains, HUGE shout-out to the Ricotta Gnocchi….we are talking absolute INCREDIBLE. The wine is fantastic, their Sangiovese is beautiful with a nice blend of sweet to the acid and their cocktails are worth every drop. THE place to visit in Jersey City!

I came here with my man for his birthday last night. It was our first time here. The service was immaculate and filled with respect, attentiveness and attention to detail. The restaurant was outstanding, and the ambience was lovely and romantic. The restaurant gave a 1920s jazz bar meets 1980s but with a modern Italian rustic twist(well-thought out layout). The 360° view of the water/pier was a beautiful touch. The food was flavorful, well-seasoned, earthy, and had a lot of depth to the dishes. The owner was kind, respectful and welcoming, which is already a plus. It was a diverse environment, which is important because representation is everything! I highly recommend this restaurant to any couple that wants to step outside the box and develop a more elevated palate. The care and concern they take into our allergies, put us at ease and made us feel valued as customers, which not many restaurants care about that. We have Zero complaints! My man and I will be returning. Any one from NY or North Jersey, believe us when we say it’s worth the drive. Our love languages being experiences, this restaurant delivers just that. If you are 21 and over you will love their cocktails, highly recommend the Autumn Tides cocktail and Shipwrecked(mezcal, orange and ginger drink—yum)cocktail! They are worth every sip and not watered down at all—thank you for that. The dessert: Chocolate Torte(moist, soft and lil crunch) and the Passion Fruit Raspberry Sorbetto(sweet and tart at the same time, which is beautiful chemistry), amazing and must-have. Top tier quality food+amazing portions+top tier quality service+top tier city and water view=top tier restaurant experience! Makes it Worth every $$! We can definitely say we will hold this restaurant near and dear to us as one of our top favorite restaurants. You all made my man’s birthday that much more special so thank you! This is the single greatest place on the entire planet to have your wedding. No exaggeration. Objectively, literally best place ever. The staff, ALL of them, from wait staff to the bartenders, to event coordinators, managers, and day of event coordinator EVERYONE IS THE NICEST and THE MOST HELPFUL. The service is IMPECCIBLE. They are legit PROS at weddings, to the point where you almost wonder how its even possible. And then there's the food......... Ask yourself how many weddings you have been to with 150-200 people, or any amount for that matter, where the food has even been "good", let alone not that great at all. We had 165+ guests..... the food was OUTSTANDING, I would put this in size 5404845 font if I could. The cocktail hour spread is INSANE, in both quality and amount, but the main dinner most impresses me because they are cooking for an ungodly amount of people, in such a short amount of time its mind boggling, and the dishes come out PHENOMINAL. Think of a place where the food has even been even "good" for a wedding, and then think of a place where SALMON (a great dish for sure, but one that can be "boring" and played out, "standard" dish offered everywhere) is done SO WELL that its one you pick to have on your wedding menu. AND THEN THEY DO IT FOR 165+ PEOPLE and its AS IF THEY COOKED IT ON A REGULAR RESTAURANT NIGHT. Battello is insane. If you consider a different venue for your wedding, honestly, you might also be insane.

My boyfriend made a reservation at Battello on Monday night. I thought it was just a birthday dinner but it turned into a surprise proposal! We want to thank the entire staff at Battello for making this the best night of our lives. Our server Brian and the rest of the staff were excellent. Please try Autumn Tides, (on the seasonal cocktail menu) one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had! The food was delicious. The entire staff made our night an unforgettable experience.
