Apple Spice

I had an excellent gluten-free lunch from Apple Spice Junction today and just had to put a good word in. How often do you get to choose multiple gf options at a work event?! Gf sandwiches, gf salads, with a gf cookie, chips, pickle, and little piece of chocolate in the box too. It was luxurious and made a good impression on our office guests. I definitely recommend this catering.

Great sandwiches! We’ve ordered the box lunches at work. The other day I ate at the actual restaurant. Very yummy with lots of variety.

A great place for a healthy lunch. I think they do catering as well. The actual restaurant is small and well lit by the afternoon sun. It's kind of tucked away in the back of Techwood Circle. I found Apple Spice Junction because it's near my company office, but sometimes I stop there if I'm in the general area. I recommend the Southwest Chicken wrap and pasta. Unfortunately, they are only open for lunch.

The company I’m training with this week ordered this for us and it wasn’t bad. I had the mandarin orange salad and it was fine. Came with bread which I thought was interesting since it was sliced bread. The chicken in my salad was a bit dry but eh? I still ate it!

I was in Richmond for a conference and they provided lunches from Apple Spice. Fantastic - cute little boxes that are full of delicious lunch food. The frogeye salad was as particular favorite. Everyone at the conference was raving about lunch.

I make a stop at Apple Spice Junction when I am in Richmond as it is steps away from my office. The Turkey Avocado sandwich is always my favorite (turkey, avocado, sprouts, and cranberry). It's hard to want to try anything else. I tried a salad and sandwich combo with the new Waldorf Chicken Salad (fresh chicken, grapes, apples, candied walnuts) with almonds instead of walnuts and it was absolutely delicious. Their Apple Cider Vinagrette is to die for. Will definitely get this salad again. It's always a pleasure for lunch at ASJ. My only issue was that it turned out to be a little expensive. If you get a Signature Salad (rather than a basic veggie salad) with the combo, there is an additional charge, so it ended up being around $20 including a side of Frog Eye Salad for $1.49. More than I expected, but still a great lunch. You get a cookie with the combo meal as well.

They catered a meeting we were having and I thought the food was pretty good. We got the executive boxed lunches and they were nice sandwiches with a dessert, side an a York Peppermint. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. My only complaint is that, when they cater, they should throw in extra condiments. One mayonnaise is not enough if you want mayo on both slices of bread. They delivered on time with no issues. Everything was delivered and they forgot nothing. I will definitely use them again.
