Amaranta Hotel

Never coming back again! Our check-in time was 2:00 PM. We arrived at the hotel at 2:00 PM, but they told us they needed 30 more minutes to finish cleaning because the previous guest checked out late. Isn’t it the hotel’s responsibility to ensure that there are no overlapping bookings before allowing late check-outs? But we decided to wait the extra 30 minutes. When we returned at 2:33 PM, they told us it would still take about an hour because the previous guest had smoked in the room, and they needed time to remove the smell. We told them we were okay with the smell and just wanted to get into the room as soon as possible. Alternatively, we asked for a temporary room. They flatly rejected both requests and insisted that if we wanted a temporary room, we would have to pay extra. At this point, we felt it was extremely unfair to be made to wait for nearly 2 hours, especially when the delay wasn’t our fault. The hotel offered no satisfactory solution—only that we had to wait. We didn’t finally get into our room until after 4:00 PM. The next issue we faced was that there was a rat in the room! I’ve attached a photo of the rat that chewed on my seaweed from my luggage. Can you imagine how unhygienic it is to have a rat in your room, especially with our clothes left in open luggage? Additionally, the hotel furniture was quite old, and the towels were the cleanest thing in the room. One of the toilets had no hot water, and the shower head in another toilet couldn’t be mounted properly, meaning we had to hold it while showering. In summary, this was a terrible experience. We will definitely not consider this hotel again.

Everything was very good but we felt cheated once we were charged 340 (bht) (800rs approx) for using a small tube of bubble bath in our bath tub. When u go to a hotel and use the products kept in the bathroom, you expect they are kept there to be used and not chargeable over your booking price. We did not expect this from such a big hotel. Rest all was good and i must recommend you to stay at Amaranta on your bangkok visit. Nice breakfast buffet and clean rooms. Very good swimming pool (well maintained)

Reception has very limited understanding of English. There was a cockroach at the reception when we were checking in. The room looks much older than the picture on their website and has a damp smell when you walked in. No toothbrush provided for standard room and they will charge money for extra bottled water. Breakfast is from 7am which is quite late for people who need to leave early. Overall, very unimpressed, not coming back. Feel like we got scammed.

I think this place still stuck with their 4.5 stars from Tripadvisor in year 2018. Lots of things need to improve. I can smell a damp since I walked in the room and there’s a wet towels in the shower with water leak from shower head. Also the broken plastic seal on shower door was cracked and hard, I got scratched from it. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child, and I had to ask for extra towels for my kids everyday, very unorganised. TV in the room connect through wifi system which never worked properly. I watched movie for 20min and it went off because lost connection, everyday especially night time. Restaurant they have is so dark, looks depress and I feel like they hide something. I saw cockroaches on the floor and tables. Breakfast portion is so small when I ordered omelette. Also the hygiene, some glasses still have lipstick stains on it lol and they served us with that. Good swimming pool they have at rooftop but they should have staff talked to people about smoking on non smoking area. Also overcharging on things, they gave us 2x 500ml water a day. They’ll charge you more if you asked for more, that’s ridiculous. And they tried to charge me on replacing blanket by charge for the whole bed cleaning charge. Anyway, if you wanna give a try, good luck. Please move on, there’re better places around that area anyway. And please stop doing copy and paste replies all the reviews on this. People can see lol.

Everything is good, except the lobby, have to take more care of customers. The staff at the door and the pool are very professional.
