4 Rivers Smokehouse

Customer service is outstanding, and the food and atmosphere could just as well be somewhere in Texas, rather than inside the Winter Park location. Though I've lived in Florida throughout the past 40 years, I felt transferred back home temporarily, because it's not easy finding good brisket in Florida. I preferred the sliced that my hubby ordered to the stringier version of chopped in my sandwich. Nevertheless, my barbecue sauced brisket, melted cheese, and fried onion ring inside the bun provided a welcome uniqueness. We both enjoyed the barbecue beans, and he added the cheesy grits to complete his meal of carefully trimmed, smokey sliced brisket. Since we favor fudgey dark chocolate, we were not enamored with the brownie bar dessert.

The brisket was perfectly tender, and the sides were just as impressive. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. The rustic atmosphere added to the charm, creating a welcoming and relaxed environment. If you're a BBQ lover, 4 Rivers Smokehouse is an absolute must-visit.

I had never been to one of these restaurants before. And I had high hopes because I love barbecue. The main entree was okay. I had brisket, but the sides were less than exciting. I think Mission BBQ does it better. They are similarly priced, and if I was in the neighborhood, I would go back to Four Rivers, but I wouldn't wouldn't go there on purpose.
